How to Connect MetaMask to Polygon and Start Swapping on Dexvers

Over the years, MetaMask has gained popularity both as a crypto wallet and browser extension. It’s safe to say that MetaMask is one of the main Web3 faces. Luckily, the installation process is simple and everyday use is really easy.

Over 19,000 dApps are running on Polygon, Dexvers included. To successfully trade on the Dexvers exchange, follow these steps.

Installation

1. MetaMask can be downloaded in both mobile and desktop forms. Browsers such as Chrome, Brave, Firefox, and Edge support the MetaMask extension, as well as all iOS and Android mobile devices.

2. Download the app, follow the instructions and required steps and after you’ve successfully finished the installation, launch it and click on GET STARTED.

3. If you don’t already have a MetaMask wallet, just click on CREATE WALLET.

4. Set up a password.

5. You will receive a Secret Recovery Phrase consisting of 12 random words which you have to select and re-enter. After you’re finished, click CONFIRM.

6. BE CAREFUL about how you store your Secret Recovery Phase as it is the key to unlocking your MetaMask wallet.

Adding Polygon

After you’ve installed your MetaMask wallet and extension, your default network will be Ethereum. The next step - add the Polygon network!

Manually

1. If you’re using the desktop version, just click on ADD NETWORK.

Next, enter these in the required fields:

1. Network Name: Polygon Mainnet

2. New RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com

3. Chain ID: 137

4. Currency Symbol: MATIC

Block Explorer URL: https://polygonscan.com

Save and voila, you’re on Polygon!

2. This process is just slightly different on your mobile devices. Click on the hamburger icon >> Settings >> Networks >> Add Network.

Automatically

1. Go to polygonscan.

2. At the bottom of the page, click on ADD POLYGON NETWORK.

3. Approve the MetaMask notification you will receive.

4. In the network dropdown list, you'll be directly connected to Polygon's Mainnet.

Connecting Assets

Apart from MATIC, other Polygon-based tokens such as DXVS need to be added manually. To do that, just click on IMPORT TOKENS at the page’s bottom.

1. Input the following Contract Address (Dexvers Smart Contract): 0x98fae8bae2547e4d9074b40e144132577092a0f5

2. Once the smart contract address is added, DXVS token Symbol should be automatically populated. Then click on ADD CUSTOM TOKEN button.

3. Confirm the import by clicking on IMPORT TOKENS.

Now your DXVS tokens are added to your MetaMask wallet!
